Wine Review: The Layer Cake Garnacha from Calatayud, Spain is rich and powerful, yet clean and balanced. Layered with aromas of ultra ripe black fruit. On the palate, the wine shows intense dark fruit with a background of rich dark chocolate and fresh ground coffee with a long creamy finish.

Personal Review: This wine smells bitter with the aroma of dried fruit. The taste of this wine was much sweeter than the smell of it. This wine was much creamier than any other wines I have tried and was stronger on the palette. There was a slight coffee taste at the end. I did not try this wine with food.
