Tasting- The Royal

Name: The Royal
Variety: Old Vines Steen Chenin Blanc
Region, Country: Western Cape, South Africa
Year: 2015
Price: 8.95
Wine Review: The 2015 Chenin Blanc offers loads of melony fruit interspersed with hints of honeysuckle and peach. It is delicious, crisp, fresh, lively, and a dead ringer for a good Loire Valley Chenin Blanc. Drink it over the next year.
Personal Review: This wine has aromas of honey and apricots. This wine was much stronger on the palette than the Barao. There was also a strong taste in the throat. This wine kind of tasted like sour dough bread. I did not try this with food.
